Renault Kwid: Old vs. New
The all-new Kwid facelift was launched by Renault India within the Indian marketplace. This new Kwid facelift model will start its pricing from Rs 2.9 lakh (Ex-showroom price in Delhi). When compared with the earlier models, the new Kwid comes with dimension changes, updated design, and other value-added features as well. However, the same engine options were utilized in both Kwid models.
It includes two different options of the petrol engine which produce torque of 72 Nm and a power of 55 bhp. Also, a 1.0-liter unit will produce a peak torque of 91 Nm along with 68 bhp power. Both engines are designed with a standard manual gearbox of 5-speed. It also launches a 1.0-liter unit of automatic transmission (AMT) optional unit as well. Design
The Renault new Kwid will include a host of various design changes. It also comes with dual headlamp units and completely updated front end. The new Kwid includes top-side sleek LED DRLs, front bumper placed at lower down along with the main headlamp unit. It also has updated grille and features three sets of horizontal slats including a thin chrome strip with tip integrated DRLs.
Even it has an updated front bumper to feature a larger-based centrally-placed air intake. The new Renault Kwid features will showcase a similar silhouette when compared with its earlier model. It has all-around the body-cladding black-plastic body and offer a more rugged feel and look.
It also includes black-cladding on the door lower parts and as well as wheel arches. The new Kwid has newly designed covers particularly for its steel wheels that look more stylish and sporty than before. Also, the rear profile includes updated rear bumper, LED taillights with refreshed C-Shape, and bottom faux scuff plates.
Features and Interiors
The Renault new Kwid facelift includes various features such as a new steering wheel, updated digital instrument cluster, and also borrowed the same from Triber. For the audio, you can use the mounted controls that come along with the steering wheel. The cabin also includes contrast stitching with premium fabric upholstery and added with upmarket feel inside. It also contains numerous cubby holders around the model and new rotary dial particularly for the gearshift that is available only for the AMT (Automatic transmission) versions.
Moving inside, the all-new Renault Kwid facelift has an entirely updated cabin. It also has a piano-black finish trims, updated central console, and blacked-out dashboard. The older model has a 7.0-inch infotainment system and it was replaced by the new Kwid with a larger 8.0-inch infotainment system with touchscreen functionality.
Dimensions
The all-new Kwid facelift is a little bit larger when compared to the earlier model. The new Renault Kwid is designed with increased height and length with regards to the previous model. However, the wheelbase and the width remain unchanged.
Pricing
The all-new Renault Kwid facelift prices are gradually increased with a slight margin and start from Rs 2.9 lakh and vary depending upon the numerous variant. The older model of Kwid hatchback’s price will start from Rs 2.8 lakh. Both models are priced at an ex-showroom rate in Delhi.
