Most people think that air pollution is only outdoors and can be attributed to industries and vehicles. However, recent studies by renowned scientists have concluded that indoor air pollution is more harmful and common than outdoor pollution. Indoor pollution can be caused due to a rise in the percentage of constituents like carbon mono-oxide, smoke, asbestos, ozone and radon.

  3. Rhinitis- Rhinitis is one of the most severe health effects. The person experiencing Rhinitis suffers from acute nasal congestion. The nose gets inflamed and it becomes quite difficult for the person to breathe. The person suffers from running nose, which is a great inconvenience.
  4. Epistaxis- This is one of the worsened health effects of Rhinitis. In Epistaxis, the person suffers from nasal bleeding. If it is not treated and occurs more than once, then it can become life threatening also. It can also cause Dyspnea where the person has difficulty in breathing and undergoes pain.
  5. Tachycardia- Another major health effect that happens due to indoor pollution is Tachycardia. The person experiences shortness of breath and rapid heartbeats. This can sometimes make your blood pressure go up and it is usually a big drawback for those who have their blood pressure on the higher side.

Therefore, it is advised to take special care when you are indoors. In addition to the above mentioned health effects, indoor pollution can cause your eyes to water leading to an eye irritation or conjunctiva. People may also experience nausea, anorexia and vomiting as all the antibodies try their best to expel the pathogens from the body. Occasionally, a person might experience chills and suffer from fever. Asthma patients have to take extra precaution when it comes to pollution. A slight increased percentage of pollutants in the air can trigger an attack and worsen their asthma condition.
